Dr Hannah Cain, who treated Royal Family members, especially Queen Camilla, was found dead. A 45-year-old GP who was reportedly part of a pool of doctors treating members of the British royal family — Queen Camilla — was found dead at her home near the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, with her husband later charged with her murder. Dr Hannah Cain, who was known professionally as Dr Hannah Terry, was found at the couple’s home in Fern Hill, Dersingham, in the early hours of October 4. Her husband, Mark Cain, 45, was arrested and charged with murder.Cain appeared before Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday. He was not asked to enter a plea and spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address. He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at King’s Lynn Crown Court. The court heard that ambulance services contacted police at around 2.25am after Dr Cain was found unconscious and not breathing in an upstairs bedroom. Prosecutor Jackie Hanlon said a post mortem examination had noted a blunt-force injury to the right side of her head and an injury that could suggest compression of the neck.Children were present at the property at the time, the court was told.Dr Cain worked at Grimston Medical Centre in King’s Lynn. She was reportedly among a group of GPs regularly available to members of the royal family when they were staying at nearby Sandringham and was believed to have treated senior royals, including Queen Camilla. The medical centre was temporarily closed following her death, citing “extremely difficult circumstances affecting our practice team”. Colleagues and patients have paid tribute to Cain, describing her as a warm, caring and dedicated doctor. Her reported royal connection has not been independently confirmed by Norfolk Police or the Crown Prosecution Service. The Sun reported, citing sources, that King Charles and Queen Camilla had been informd about the murder. Dr Cain’s friend said she seemed worried which was out of character.Cain had previously worked at Heacham GP Surgery for nine years before moving to Grimston Medical Centre. She also co-owned Norfolk Sky Aesthetics, a cosmetic treatment business.Norfolk Police said specialist officers were supporting Cain’s family, who have requested privacy. The force has said the investigation remains in its early stages.
