Married NYC lawyer getting fired after his video of smooching 29-year-old colleague in Central Park goes viral

Nathaniel Cullerton and Kelsey Borenzweig became TikTok famous after their smooching video went viral. Both of them are colleagues at an elite New York law firm. And now almost a month after their viral canoodling, New York Post has reported that Nathaniel Cullerton is likely to be getting fired. The video at Central Park was taken by TikTok creator Jay Guapo.The report claimed that 45-year-old Cullerton, who is married, is headed for an exit after he was placed on leave by law firm Wachtell. But it is not official yet, the report said, citing a source who insisted that Cullerton was not being fired and is still employed at Wachtell and is officially on leave.The video came at a time when Cullerton was planning to leave Wachtell along with star litigation Bill Savitt and a bunch of the firm’s top trial lawyers for rival firm Gibson Dunn. But Gibson Dunn rescinded its hiring of Cullerton after the viral video.The employment status of Borenzweig was not made clear but the scandal turned out to be more harmful for Cullerton, as he is much senior, a partner of the firm, while Borenzweig is a junior associate in Wachtell’s litigation department.

How did the video go viral?

In the clip, influencer Jay Guapo told the couple to find a private place as there were kids around them. Cullerton and Borenzweig spotted the camera and asked Guapo to stop recording. Cullerton tried to snatch the phone from him when Guapo said: “If you touch me, I will touch you”.According to the Daily Mail, Cullerton has been married to Moira Penza since 2016. Penza is also a highly accomplished attorney.Daily Mail reported that it was not clear when Cullerton and Borenzweig’s romance started or whether it was disclosed to human resources, but they worked together in Sam Altman’s case against Elon Musk.
