Why has the oven range recalled

According to the latest media reports, Conair has issued a recall for the Cuisinart Propel+ Four Burner 3-in-1 Gas Grill because the tempered glass window in the pizza oven can shatter during use, posing a risk of injury from laceration. Also, Conair has asked consumers to stop using the recalled grill immediately and visit Conair’s website to check if their grill is included in the recall. Till June 25, 2026, the company received 1 report of the incident with no reports of injuries in Canada. However, in the United States, there have been 37 reports of shattering glass with no reports of injuries. For the uninitiated, a laceration is a tear or deep cut in the skin or other soft tissue, usually caused by blunt trauma, a sharp object, or an impact. Unlike a clean surgical incision, a laceration often has irregular, jagged edges because the tissue has been torn rather than neatly sliced. It is reported that the product was sold at Lowes, Walmart and on-line at cuisinart.com from December 2024 through May 2026 for between $500 and $750.

With the trend of compact kitchens in bigger cities, the grill came in as a smart investment, as it features a griddle, a stove top burner and a pizza oven with tempered glass located on top of the lid of the grill. The recalled model is CGG-6331, which features a right metal door and a serial number.

What customers have been asked to do

According to the company, if your grill is impacted by the recall, it is advised to remove the tempered glass window on the pizza oven and upload two photographs to the firm’s website: one of the removed glass and one of the grill’s serial number. As you follow the guidelines, you will receive a $500 refund by check or be reimbursed for the original purchase amount with proof of receipt. According to the company, after receiving their refund, consumers should write the word “Recall” with a black sharpie marker on the tempered glass and dispose of it.
